Dr. Cheong's msg on the studio page:
Heinrich Neuhaus' (artistic imagination)
Adagio from Mozart Piano Concerto no 23 in A major K488:
i hated theory for years, and i guess everyone else did too.
despite my third tutor's yelling and my tearing for one big year
i remembered what my second told me,
'you must love theory, and your students will too ") '
and so
i'm glad i finally began to understand theory since uni before i started any teaching.
calligraphy lessons
gymnastic practices
yoga mornings
the almost ballet path
music.
i might not be waking up with perfect pitch,
nor getting all my history notes or tonal harmony in my head, yet.
but this is what i chose
and i really wanna excel in this
i can, i will.
