that one moment i can replay in my head over and smile inside
is when my pepper boy licks me.
he hates baths, don't mention getting wet in the rain

and he's one rare dog that doesn't always lick.
8 yrs and i don't think there was even 5 times

so i went into the rain once, so frustrated trying to get sane,
he kept barking and even went back and forth trying to convince me go under the shed.
when i finally came in, he licked and licked my wet calves..
whether or not i got my answer
he moved me

"a dog is a man's best friend"

until you've met one.



it's such a painful thing to know bout a dog's life span.
counting every now and then how many more years or days ahead

i must meet him again :)
